Kyle D. Simpson is an interdisciplinary digital business consultant and architect, an aspiring entrepreneur, and student at the intersection of business and computer science. A free and adaptive thinker, Kyle has a strong propensity toward understanding complex systems, abstracting them, and reconstructing them in seamless new forms, enabling businesses to realize new opportunities and optimize existing operations. Kyle has a background in business, design, and computer science & engineering.
Kyle will complete his B.S.B.A. degree with a specialization in Information Systems at the Max. M. Fisher College of Business in December 2009.
Kyle was born in Columbus, Ohio. At an early age, he developed an avid interest in computers, having acquired his first programming book (C++) at about age 14. Shortly thereafter, he developed an insatiable interest in areas such as programming, application security, systems and information architecture, and artificial intelligence.
He went on to learn several other programming/scripting languages (Basic, C, C++, C#.NET, Java, VB, VB.NET, HTML/CSS/XML, PHP, Javascript, x86 Assembly, and more…) to focus on the Windows Desktop environment, Internet-enabled applications, and more recently the web as a platform. Kyle is in the process of creating a community-oriented consulting firm that will work with small and mid-sized companies to develop competitive advantages and efficiencies via cutting-edge technologies that are traditionally accessible only to large corporations. His consulting firm will also serve as the parent company to several of Kyle’s entrepreneurial ventures.
Currently, Kyle is primarily concerned with his studies at the Max M. Fisher College of Business, starting his company, and enjoying opportunities to work with and learn from his increasingly diverse set of clients. At Fisher College, he enjoys meeting the many ambitious and talented people, at both student and faculty levels. He credits some of his best ideas & experiences to interactions with his fellow students, faculty, and course curricula.
Kyle spends his (currently minimal) free time traveling, reading, reflecting, and relaxing with friends and family.
